Inspired by the decadent style of an Italian hot chocolate, this simple recipe will give you an indulgent winter treat in less than five minutes. This drink will only be as good as your chocolate, so we used and recommend Lindt. The dark chocolate brings a depth of flavour that complements the lavender, while the white chocolate sweetens the flavour and provides a creamy texture. Serves 2.
50g good quality dark eating chocolate
30g good quality white eating chocolate
1 Tbs Bridestowe Culinary Lavender
Whipped cream to garnish
Combine all ingredients in pan over low heat. Stir constantly and slowly bring to a simmer until chocolate is melted. When the chocolate has melted evenly through the milk, remove from heat, and strain out the lavender buds before serving.
Garnish with whipped cream, and dust with cocoa or chocolate shavings.
