At Bridestowe Estate we only grow Lavandula Angustifolia, and all of our plants are derived from a lone packet of seeds brought to Tasmania from Provence, France over 100 years ago. Each year we replant from cuttings from our own plants, never from seed. That means that we’ve spent more than 100 years creating the very finest lavender oil, putting Tasmania on the map within the lavender world.
Lavendula angustifolia flowers are carefully dried at Bridestowe Estate. Low in camphor, this variety of lavender is the only one suitable for culinary purposes. Microbiologically tested for purity, it is certified for use in all fine foods including dairy products.
