Festival of Flowers

Every day during our Festival of Flowers there are fun tours and events happening as we all enjoy the beautiful curved rows of lavender in bloom. Find a new level of calm as you wander through the lavender rows, marvelling at the gift of Mother Nature.

Our family run farm is lovingly cared for year-round to be able to create the beautiful sights that come alive during December and January, so we ask that you respect the land and leave no trace when you visit our slice of Tasmanian paradise.

FAQs

From what date in December to what date in January is full bloom?

As with any plant or flower we are completely controlled by nature as to when our fields are in ‘full bloom’ so we can’t guarantee a particular date unfortunately. If you’re wanting to book a trip around seeing Bridestowe in bloom, we recommend coming between mid-December to mid-January.

We recommend you follow our social pages for the most up to date information and flower conditions.

For those coming from February onwards, our lavender has been harvested by this time.

Is there an entry fee all year round?

No, an entry fee only applies between December and January during our peak season, every other month is free.

Can I bring my pet with me to Bridestowe? I’ve seen lovely photos of dogs in your fields!

Yes you can bring your pet with you to Bridestowe! We just ask that you keep them on a leash and pick up after them to keep our fields looking beautiful.

Why should I visit during Festival of Flowers?

Our Festival of Flowers runs during December and January and is when you will see our lavender blooming!

To really make the most of your visit to Bridestowe Estate, we highly recommend bringing along a picnic blanket so that you can sit and enjoy yourself! Woodcroft Cafe awaits you to purchase food and drinks that you can enjoy on your very own picnic.

During the Festival of Flowers you can expect daily tours, workshops and events.

Our team works hard all year to maintain the lavender crops so that we all get to enjoy the spectacular sight of the curved rows filled with lavender.

Bridestowe Estate is beautiful year round, if you would like to escape the crowds and aren’t worried about seeing our lavender in bloom, we are open all year welcoming visitors.

Can I pick the lavender?

We ask that you please don’t pick the lavender, not only so that others can enjoy it, but because we turn that beautiful lavender into our famous Pure Lavender Oil and create beautiful products from it.

How do I book tickets? Does everyone need a ticket?

You can either book tickets in advance on our website, or you can pay at the gate.

Our tickets are $20pp for those 16 years and older, under 16 comes to the farm free of charge.

If you’re a local, you can also use your same ticket again and again this season! Just make sure you bring your ID with your address to prove you’re a local.
